Benjamin Drone is the youngest of nine children born to the late Bishop T.W. and Clara Drone from whom he received his religious training. Minister Ben is a product of the Akron Public Schools attending Robinson Elementary, Goodyear Junior High and East High School.He is a graduate of Akron University and was employed for more than thirty years as a teacher in the Akron Public School District. During his teaching tenure he supervise the Buchtel High Gospel Choir. He was awarded Teacher of the year twice by his fellow staff and awarded the Shinning Apple Ward twice, an award chosen by the valedictorian of the class. Minister Ben started teaching Sunday School in the 11th grade. He has participated in his church choir since his elementary years, played the drums, guitar, piano and organ. In 1992 he organized the group A.D.D. (Assertive Discipline Development) for young men ages eight to sixteen which taught them survival skills. Minister Ben retired from teaching in 2003 and is currently pastor of the Faith Temple church of the living God.
